It has been a good
cheer that many persons, mostly women, embraced Islam at the Center. They were
given a thorough briefing about the teachings of Islam and pamphlets were given
to them. They have also agreed to be contacted by us later on. In addition to
conversions at ICJ, Syed Matloob and other da’ees of Center, while giving
lectures at educational institutions, brought dozens to fold of Islam.

Marriage Certificate
ICJ has been just
about the main marriage center of Japan. Scores of couples converged here and
expressed pleasure, to tie their knots here. Our certificates enjoyed wide
recognition.

Guidance on Telephone
Islamic Center Japan truly
enjoyed a pivotal position for the Muslims in Japan. It appeared that Muslim
community in the country turned to ICJ for all their problems including
religious knowledge and information. Incidentally the majority of the callers
were Japanese. On an average the Center received over thirty telephones a day.
People asked a variety of questions about Islam and its way of life. A summary
of some general questions asked, are as follows:

restaurants, dates of Islamic days & festivals( shabe barat, shabe
mairaj,Lailatul Qadr etc); supply of books and Islamic material, salat timings,
qibla direction, circumcision hospitals, halal & haram foods, Zakat and fitra
rates, doctrines of Islam, marriage procedure at ICJ, make up of fasting by
women, qualifications of Imam, number of Muslims and Japanese Muslims in Japan,
90 names of Allah, how to pray, concept of destiny in Islam, what Islam says
about Bible.
